Building Training Excellence Since 2019

"National Training Solutions was founded in 2019 after National Labour Solutions decided to move all the training functions into the newly formed National Training Solutions, giving the Training Division an opportunity to grow and acquire its own assets. Our head office is situated in Douglas in the Northern Cape, and we have expanded by establishing satellite offices in various centres throughout South Africa, ensuring that we are able to service clients throughout South Africa. Despite our growing national presence, we are proud of our strong footprint in the Northern Cape, which includes towns such as Kimberley, Postmasburg, Kathu/Kuruman, Douglas, Prieska and Barken.

Each industry in which we work offers its own unique challenges which require tailored, creative solutions, and we work hard to understand the challenges of each industry in which we operate. Our industry specialisation includes Mining, Agriculture, Road Freight, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Metal and Engineering, Wholesale and Retail, Motor, Renewable Energy, Textile, Medical, Non-profits, and Domestic.

Meet Our Founder

Glen Urquhart

Company Director

National Training Solutions was founded in 2019 after National Labour Solutions decided to move all the training functions in to the newly formed National Training Solutions. This gave the Training Division an opportunity to grow and to acquire its own assets. The company is owned by the company Director, Glen Urquhart, who boasts a résumé of exceptional calibre. Glen holds an Honours Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources, obtained from the University of Port Elizabeth, and an Advanced Labour Law qualification through UNISA. With twenty-five years of experience in the field of Labour Relations, Human Resources and Training, he sets the benchmark for Labour Relations, Human Resource and Training services.

Glen has obtained specialized experience in various corporate companies within the Mining, Textile, Metal and Engineering and Motor Industries. He has filled several positions as a Human Resource Manager and as a generalist, leaving him responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, Labour Relations and Training.

As the Provincial Organiser of the South African United Employers Organisation (SAUEO) in the Northern Cape, the Labour Representative of the South African Diamond Producers Organisation (SAPDO), and a Labour Policy Committee member at the Minerals Council (Chamber of Mines), Glen fully and intricately understands the dynamic, challenging field of Training and Development. Glen brings his vast knowledge, experience and expertise to the table, rendering National Training Solutions a kinetic, turn-key specialist for the benefit of its growing client base.

Glen has worked in various large corporations and, as an entrepreneur, has also started a number of successful small businesses. He therefore understands the complex needs of businesses irrespective of size. Glen has built a business offering products and services designed with the needs of small, medium and large sized businesses in mind."
